Specialist First Aid Skills for Forestry, Agricultural and Remote Environments
Did you know that the fatal injury rate in the agriculture, forestry and fishing industry is significantly higher than many other industries? Working in remote environments can present unique risks, making it essential that those working in these sectors have the skills to respond effectively when emergencies occur.
The Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F (RQF) is designed for individuals who work, or intend to work, in forestry, agriculture or other remote environments, including tree surgeons, forestry workers, farmers and outdoor professionals.
This specialist qualification covers a range of injuries and conditions that may occur in these environments, including catastrophic bleeding, crush injuries, extreme temperatures and Lyme disease.
Designed to complement a regulated First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualification, this nationally recognised qualification has been specifically developed to meet the recommendations of the Forestry Commission First Aid at Work Policy.
