Essential Life Support Skills for Clinical Practice Environments
The Level 3 Award in Basic Life Support for Adults, Children and Infants in Clinical Practice (RQF) is designed for individuals working within a clinical practice environment, including administration and support staff. Learners do not need to be clinically trained to complete this qualification.
This regulated qualification provides learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to respond effectively to life-threatening emergencies within a clinical setting, including performing basic life support (BLS) and safely using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for adults, children and infants.
The qualification content and learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of the Resuscitation Council UK and guidance from a distinguished panel of experts in emergency medical care.
Successful learners will develop the practical competencies required to perform BLS interventions and safely use an AED on adults, children and infants in a clinical environment.
