Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects across a range of renewable technologies. From the point of order through to project completion, you will manage timelines, resources, budgets, and client relationships to ensure successful outcomes.
This role combines technical expertise with hands-on leadership, working closely with engineers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver high-quality renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Delivery
Manage the end-to-end delivery of renewable technology projects, from order to completion.
Conduct site visits and surveys to gather project information.
Develop project plans, timelines, and schedules.
Coordinate labour resources and obtain subcontractor quotations where required.
Monitor costs and manage budgets effectively.
Assist with technical project design.
Produce and update CAD drawings as needed.
Administer project-specific accreditations and permissions.
Develop and manage parts lists and oversee procurement.
Ensure all project Health & Safety processes and procedures are followed.
Technical & On-Site Support
Coordinate and assist with on-site repairs as required.
Undertake electrical installation and repair work in line with qualifications and competencies.
Provide both in-office and on-site technical assistance.
Liaise with sales teams to produce quotations for existing and occasional prospective clients.
Manage and coordinate the work of project engineers.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Oversee company-wide Health & Safety processes in line with training, qualifications, and competency.
Assist in the administration of group accreditations and quality management systems.
Maintain accurate records in all relevant databases.
Administration & Reporting
Complete timesheets and expense claims in line with company policies.
Keep detailed project documentation and status reports.
Support the ongoing improvement of project processes and standards.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Proven project management experience in renewable energy, engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong technical understanding of renewable technologies.
Ability to read and produce CAD drawings.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience managing budgets and resources.
Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and regulations.
Desirable:
Electrical qualifications and hands-on installation experience.
Familiarity with accreditation and compliance processes within the renewable sector.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in technical/maintenance environments.
Competence with CRM, ERP, and MS Office tools.
Additional Information
Job Type: Permanent / Full Time.
Salary: £40K – £44K Per Annum (depending on experience).
Location: Tiverton, Devon.
