Field Service Engineer – Nationwide (On the Road, Ideally Somerset Area)

Salary Package: £35,000 – £40,000 + Overtime (Typical earnings £45k+)

Nationwide travel with regular overnight stays

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our clients growing team supporting recycling and waste processing equipment across the UK. This is a varied and hands on role where no two days are the same, from fault finding and servicing to installations and refurbishments.

What You will Do

• Service, repair, and install recycling machinery (balers, compactors, shredders, conveyors, and more).

• Diagnose and fix electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical faults.

• Travel nationwide to customer sites, including overnight stays.

• Deliver customer training and provide professional on-site support.

• Work independently and as part of a skilled, friendly team.

What We are Looking For

• Electrically biased engineer with strong experience in fault finding and diagnostics.

• Experience as a Field Service Engineer (or similar hands on role).

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding skills.

• Comfortable with regular UK travel and overnight stays.

• Self-motivated, reliable, and customer-focused.

• A recognised mechanical/electrical qualification (or equivalent experience).

• Full UK driving licence.

• Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (DOE) + overtime (time and a half weekdays/Saturdays, double time Sundays).
