The Role
Recruitment Unlimited are recruiting for an experienced Property Lawyer to join the Legal Services team supporting our client.
This is a 3-month full-time contract, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, paying £18.00 per hour. Although the office is based in Totnes, the role can be carried out fully remotely, with a laptop and all necessary equipment provided by the client.
You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of local authority property work, including community asset transfers, while providing professional legal advice and support to the Council.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a varied caseload of local authority property matters.
Handle commercial and residential property transactions.
Deal with community asset transfers.
Provide legal advice and support to Council departments.
Draft, review and negotiate legal documentation.
Ensure work is completed in accordance with current legislation and professional standards.
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with experience in property law.
Previous local authority experience is desirable.
Experience handling property transactions and community asset transfers.
Able to manage a busy caseload independently.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Comfortable working remotely.
