Salary: £18.00 per hour

The Role

Recruitment Unlimited are recruiting for an experienced Property Lawyer to join the Legal Services team supporting our client.

This is a 3-month full-time contract, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, paying £18.00 per hour. Although the office is based in Totnes, the role can be carried out fully remotely, with a laptop and all necessary equipment provided by the client.

You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of local authority property work, including community asset transfers, while providing professional legal advice and support to the Council.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of local authority property matters.

  • Handle commercial and residential property transactions.

  • Deal with community asset transfers.

  • Provide legal advice and support to Council departments.

  • Draft, review and negotiate legal documentation.

  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with current legislation and professional standards.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with experience in property law.

  • Previous local authority experience is desirable.

  • Experience handling property transactions and community asset transfers.

  • Able to manage a busy caseload independently.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Comfortable working remotely.
