HSEQ Manager – Structural Steelwork

Southwest, Devon

Monday to Friday, Full-time, Permanent

£45,000 - £65,000 Per Year (Depending On Experience)

We are proud to be working with our client, who is a well-established steel engineering company that is looking for an experienced HSEQ Manager to take ownership of the Health, Safety, Environmental and quality across both the workshop and on-site operations.

As HSEQ Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining all safety and quality systems within the business.

You will oversee compliance with legal requirements, ensure accreditation remain up to date, and promote a strong, proactive safety culture across the workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve HSEQ management systems across workshop and onsite projects

  • Conduct risk assessments, site inspections and internal audits.

  • Prepare and review RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements)

  • Lead safety briefing for staff and subcontractors

  • Manage accident investigations, near miss reporting and corrective actions

  • Oversee ISO and accreditation compliance (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, CHAS)

  • Liaise with clients, external auditors, and senior management on all safety matters

Requirements

  • NEBOSH General Certificate essential; NEBOSH Construction Certificate Preferred

  • Previous experience working in a structural steel or construction environment

  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations, COSHH, and environmental legislation

  • Excellent communication skills with strong leadership and influencing skills

  • Comfortable travelling to sites around the UK when required

  • Full UK driving license essential
