We are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering business for a skilled technician to join a specialist manufacturing team working on a high-profile engineering project. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise within a precision manufacturing environment, working with advanced coating processes on high-value engineered components.
You'll play an important role in ensuring components are coated and finished to the highest quality standards, contributing to a technically demanding and rewarding project.
Main Responsibilities
As a Metal Coating Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out specialist coating processes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and precision.
Your duties will include:
Carrying out specialist metal coating processes, including electroplating, on precision-engineered components.
Preparing components prior to coating.
Operating and monitoring specialist coating equipment.
Conducting quality inspections to ensure components meet strict engineering standards.
Following technical specifications and established manufacturing procedures.
Supporting production activities and identifying any process issues.
Handling high-value components and specialist equipment with care.
Working safely in an environment where hazardous substances are used.
Requirements
Previous experience in metal coating, electroplating, surface treatment or a similar specialist manufacturing process.
Experience working within an engineering, manufacturing or precision production environment.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
The ability to follow technical procedures and engineering specifications accurately.
Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
A professional, reliable approach and a strong commitment to health and safety.
