Workshop and Field Service Engineer - South West
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent - Monday to Friday (Overtime available)
Salary: £33,000 – £40,000 per annum (DOE)

Overall Job purpose:
We're seeking a skilled and reliable engineer who thrives in a role combining hands-on workshop work with field-based servicing. Our client is a leading supplier in the waste and recycling machinery industry, and our expanding their service engineering team. They specialise in both refurbishing recycling equipment in their workshops and provide field service and installations to clients across the UK.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Refurbishing and rebuilding recycling machinery in the workshops.
Attending customer sites to carry out installations, servicing, repairs, and maintenance.
Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
Preparing and completing documentation including service reports, job sheets, and installation sign-offs.
Supporting a high standard of customer care and acting as a brand ambassador while on site.
Complying with all health and safety and quality procedures at all times.
Requirements & Person Specification:
Previous experience as a mechanical engineer or field service engineer.
Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
Full UK driving licence is essential.
Forklift licence preferred (but not required).
Willingness to travel and undertake occasional overnight stays.
