Site Fitter / Welder – Structural Steelwork

Cullompton, Devon

Monday to Friday, Full-time, Permanent

£16 to £20 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Site Fitter / Welder to join a well-established structural steel and fabrication contractor based in Devon. The company works across structural steelwork, bespoke metal fabrication and onsite installations throughout the UK, with skilled inhouse and onsite teams, you’ll get to work on a wide variety of projects and play a key role in delivering high quality installations

Key responsibilities:

• Fit and assemble structural steel components on site

• Perform MIG / TIG welding to industry standards

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

• Ensure safety and complains on site (working at heigh, PPE, site regulations)

• Maintain tools, equipment and workspace

• Report progress to site supervisor

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Site Fitter / Welder in structural steel

• Competent in MIG and / or TIG Welding

• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints

• CSCS card (or willing to obtain)

• Knowledge of site safety procedures

• Comfortable working at heights and on site
