Location: Taunton, Somerset.

Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join a leading engineering and manufacturing company supplying specialised equipment to various industries worldwide. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a skilled team in a dynamic and innovative environment, wiring complex machinery and control panels to high standards.

Responsible to:

  • Electrical Supervisor

  • Production Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and wire a wide range of electrical control panels and on-machine systems

  • Follow detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

  • Install and wire PLC-controlled systems (no programming or software knowledge required)

  • Work with motors, drives, relays, transformers, and various sensors

  • Complete on-machine wiring including trunking, cable trays, junction boxes

  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

  • Collaborate with colleagues to meet project deadlines

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified electrician ideally with experience in control panel/ wiring

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certified

  • Proven ability to read and interpret detailed electrical drawings

  • Competent in fault finding and electrical diagnostics

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Additional Information

Employment Type: Permanent / Full Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Overtime available
Remuneration: £18 p/h
Expected Hours: 37.5 per week
